MY FIRST NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

September 13, 2017

Hi guys,

I’m just back from the BEST 5 days in New York at my first every New York Fashion Week. It was a dream come true for me: attending fashion shows, experiencing the backstage chaos and getting dressed up in whatever I wanted. I have attended other Fashion Weeks (London and Milan) but nothing will quite compare to New York for me – my favourite city! The street style, the atmosphere, the weather – everything was just out of this world.

My favourite shows of the week were: the Project Runway Finale with Jessica Alba, Heidi Klum and Zac Posen (how cool), Taoray Wang, Francesca Liberatone, TOME and John Paul Ataker (where I saw Taylor Hill and Karlie Kloss walk). Being backstage at TIBI was amazing as well, that show looked unreal!

It was a crazy busy few days, which I am recovering from now but I absolutely cannot wait to go back to NYFW and do it all over again another season. Being able to attend this time was a big milestone moment for me in my new career. It has made me so motivated and excited for what lies ahead.

Below are the outfit details of everything I wore at NYFW, I hope you liked them and enjoyed following along over the weekend,

Thanks for all of the lovely messages I received on social media – it meant so much,

Lou x

Day 1 – Thursday

I’m loving suits at the moment, and I’m having fun injecting bright colours into my usually neutral wardrobe. This suit was the perfect choice for my first day at Fashion Week, details tagged below.

Blue Blazer: Nastygal
Blue Trousers: Nastygal
Shoes: Dorothy Perkins
Sunglasses: H&M
Earrings: Parfois
Necklace: Asos
Bag: Louis Vuitton Victoire

Day 2 – Friday

This outfit was fun, sophisticated, classic and stylish – everything I love in an outfit. Dare I say I think it was my favourite look of fashion week 😊

Her.ie even had me on their best dressed list with it!

I have a full blog post coming on this later in the week so stay tuned for this one.

Everything is H&M

Day 3 – Saturday:

Another fun but sophisticated look – the perfect combination of tailoring and feathers. Can you believe this look was from Savida at Dunnes Stores? I made Man Repeller‘s Best Dressed look for this one!

Pinstripe Blazer: Savida at Dunnes Stores
Yellow Skirt: Savida at Dunnes Stores
Sunglasses: Dior
Earrings: Parfois
Bag: Louis Vuitton Victoire
Shoes: Dorothy Perkins

Day 4 – Sunday

Another one of my favourites – all red everything! I love this look, so simple yet so striking. It was such an easy look to create too! Details below:

Red Jumper: H&M

Day 5 – Monday

My last day in NY I went a little bit more casual mixing florals and stripes. This Zimmerman inspired skirt was super affordable from Pretty Little Thing. I dressed this look up with a different hairstyle, a low slicked back bun – sometimes that’s all you need!

Top: Pretty Little Thing
Skirt: Pretty Little Thing
Boots: Korky’s
Sunglasses: H&M
