WEEKEND GETAWAY TO DRUID’S GLEN

Hi there,

I hope you are all adjusting back to reality after the lovely, relaxing few snow days we had in Ireland. On Saturday, I had enough of the cabin fever and I hit the road for a little getaway to Druid’s Glen Hotel in Co. Wicklow. For years I’ve heard of Druid’s Glen from my friends, so I was very excited when they invited me to visit – and I really didn’t want the snow to stop us.

Luckily it’s only 45 mins from Dublin so it wasn’t too far to drive while the roads were still a little messy. We arrived on Saturday afternoon and the first thing we saw was the golf course, turned winter wonderland, which was snow white – literally.

We checked into the Executive Suite which was amazing, I mean, just look at the photos – we had our own fireplace and TWO bathrooms! It was the perfect place to just unwind, after a trip to the pool of course. The hotel has a pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and plunge pool – and a shop to buy swim shorts (if you’re like someone I know and forget them haha!)

Druid’s Glen is renowned for it’s Spa – and I after visiting I can see why. It was definitely the highlight of our stay. I got the Elemis Poultice Powered Muscle Release Massage which won ‘Best Body Treatment’ at the Irish Tatler Annual Spa Awards. I’m already a fan of Elemis products, so to be immersed in them for 80 mins was just such a treat. I’d highly recommend this treatment.

In terms of food, Hugo’s restaurant in the hotel is amazing. We ate there for dinner and breakfast – I love the fact we didn’t have to trek or get a taxi anywhere, it made the stay that little bit more relaxing.

I’m feeling fully rejuvenated after the chilled weekend so I’m diving straight back into work today with lots of energy,

I have a beauty blog post coming later today as well – so keep an eye out for that,

Have a good Monday,

Lou x

A big thanks to Druid’s Glen for inviting me down for this stay – it had been on my list for years.
