If you follow me on Instagram, you will know that I’m just back from two days in the South of France with Princess Cruises. It was such a fun few days exploring vineyards, tasting all things French and touring the amazing Royal Princess Cruise ship (where I took these photos) I vlogged the trip and can’t wait to show you every inch of this beautiful boat on my YouTube, hopefully I’ll have that video up tomorrow.
As usual when I go away, I got a million and one photos 😊
One of the questions I get asked most often is what camera I use to take my photos, and what apps I use to edit them. For a long time I only used my Olympus Pen EPL-7 camera when taking photos (and I have used it on this post for some of the photos). But thankfully I have found a phone with a camera just as good as my actual camera, it’s small, easy to carry and has made my life so much easier – the Samsung S8. It has a 12MP rear camera and a 8MP selfie camera with an autofocus. It really is amazing – there is no comparison to the iPhone camera which I switched over from last month. It has a huge infinity screen which is great for viewing photos (and watching Netflix) which is another big plus!
App wise there are 3 I swear by: VSCO cam (for filters – my fave is the A5), Snapseed (for lighting adjustments) and Facetune (for detailing and colour fixes). I also use the built in filters on the Samsung S8 – they give a gorgeous effect and have my photo ready to go in a simple snap. Lastly, I use UNUM to plan my photos before I upload.
You can have the best cameras in the world, and the dreamiest background, but if nature wants to mess up your photo by blowing the hat off your head – there is absolutely nothing you can do about it, but laugh. Which is exactly what happened while Lauren and I were taking these photos haha. Notice there is one photo without my hat! I must make it to Bershka ASAP to buy another. My playsuit is also from Bershka, glasses are Dior, bag is Gucci and sandals are River Island.
